From Texas Tech Uni to Maynooth this summer
Hello, my name is Stephanie Gregory and I am currently studying Circuits II and Anthropology of Ireland for six weeks while at Maynooth University over the summer. I am from the United States of America, more specifically Houston, Texas though I currently attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas getting my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering.
Ireland is lovely and I can’t wait to soak up all of the things it has to offer me!

Wonderful Journey of New Things
Studying abroad are many students’ first experience in Ireland, and even so first experience out of their home country. With the large amounts of firsts; with trying new foods, activities, travel, etc. It brings new meaning to me with the phrase “you learn something new every day”.
My peers and I have been constantly learning, exploring and growing since the moment our planes landed in Dublin and we have loved every minute of it. The constant smiles on everyone’s faces to do new things and meet people of different cultures is creating memories of a lifetime. Life is all about the journey and not the destination, and we sure are on one journey of the ages in Ireland.
Home Away from Home
The town of Maynooth is an amazing place to live. The people here are friendly and welcoming. You can speak to anyone in the town and they will lend a hand or start a conversation. It creates a warm and cozy feeling that reminds me of the comfort you feel while at home. The food is also very tasty, which helps.
Many of my thanks goes to Maynooth Student Union who make many of our meals while we are here. Mr. Power and Ms. Sinclair are shown in the image but there are many more staff that pitch in to make us wonderful meals and I am grateful. They are really kind and great to talk to if you ever get the chance.
Dublin Here We Come
I finally got a chance to visit Dublin, and it was really worth the wait. They have everything from tours, parks, shopping, and food. I had lots of fun seeing the Book of Kells at Trinity College and Dublin Castle, but I will definitely love to go back to do more. I do like to shop and I can say Dublin has a very large shopping scene.
There are great shops and restaurants around every turn and on every street. There is also so much variety the whole family can find something that interests them. Including the busy city, tourists, and residents, I felt like the main character in a movie. It is definitely a destination to put on your bucket list to experience for yourself.
