I originally wanted to get my degree abroad because I wanted to travel and experience a new culture. Ireland has definitely done that. I’ve gotten to travel to Cliffs of Moher and Galway and explore Dublin more than I would ever as only a tourist. And even in Maynooth it seems like there’s always something to do, whether it be a society/club activity or an educational event. There’s also some really passionate people here, both as students and educators. Even if it’s a class I’m not too interested in, there’s always a student or lecturer whose passion for the subject will manage to inspire me to work harder. Overall, I’m happy I decided to get my degree in Ireland and look forward to the next couple years I have here.
