Khang Du
Xin chào! I'm Khang from Vietnam. I'm currently studying at Maynooth University for my Erasmus exchange semester, supported by the Arqus Talent Scholarship Fund. I'm also the Digital Marketing trainee and the project leader of the Intercultural Dialogue Circle, which took place in Maynooth last November.
I am really enjoying my time at Maynooth, as it is giving me many opportunities to grow both professionally and academically. I've been learning how to balance work, study, and participating in different outdoor activities such as hiking and trekking in Ireland. Although the duration of my stay is only 6 months, I am truly appreciating the values of studying and working in Irish culture, as well as meeting new people in such a diverse environment at Maynooth University.
Alfred Oryem
Alfred Oryem worked as a student intern for the Arqus Alliance Office at Maynooth University from September - December 2024, where he worked closely with the communications and promotions coordinator. He is currently studying at Aga Khan University, where he is pursuing an MA in Digital Journalism, and has received a bachelors degree in Mass Communication from Kampala University. Alfred is a skilled collaborator with a good work ethic and is very effective in teamwork and digital promotions.
During his MU internship, Alfred was tasked with drafting social media posts through tools like Canva, researching topics for social media and news items, collaborating with the Arqus Maynooth Communications and Promotions for digital promotion, editing parts of the Arqus Newsletter, as well as aiding the Arqus Maynooth Office in preparation for the November Co-Leads event on campus.
